WriteGirl Teens Read At Skylight Books

A beautiful bookstore in Los Feliz has become a part of WriteGirl tradition. On March 23rd, WriteGirl teens shared creative pieces from "No Character Limit: Truth & Fiction from WriteGirl,” at an independent bookstore called Skylight Books.

Every seat was full, with many standing amongst the shelves to hear the girls read their work. For some, it was their first time performing at a public reading, but every teen captivated their audience. Magical realism, spoken word poetry, and heartfelt confessions filled the cozy storefront, and afterwards, each guest participated in a writing activity of their own. It was a fun, inspiring event, and we look forward to coming back to Skylight Books next year!
