A tribute to WriteGirl volunteer Susan Zeidler

The WriteGirl community will greatly miss longtime WriteGirl volunteer Susan Zeidler, who passed away in late September.

Sue first joined WriteGirl in 2014 as an active volunteer in our In-Schools program working with critically at-risk teen girls express their stories, emotions and ambitions through writing. We will always remember her enthusiasm, sense of humor and ability to light up a room. She was a dedicated mentor whose tenacity and passion for writing made a lasting impact on the girls she worked with.

Sue was a journalist and novelist whose time-travel novels The Practice Room and Flying Through Music will continue to inspire young readers.

We thank the friends and family of Susan Zeidler for donating to WriteGirl in Susan's honor. Your support helps us share that same passion with the next generation of women writers. We welcome your comments below as a tribute to Susan Zeidler.
